| Their long engagement came to an end when they united in marriage in Saint Monica's church in Santa Monica, California. The wedding was all that every girl dreams of. A little flower girl and a ring bearer, to head the procession, and hundreds of famous guests to bow and nod and whisper, "how beautiful the bride looks." Organ music, a young tenor singing Ave Maria. The church was illuminated with candles. The bride wore traditional satin and lace to make her consecrated vows. "I Maureen, do take thee, John..." Then, after exchanging plain gold wedding bands and kissing the bride, the couple came out of the church and had their photographs taken as the new Mr. and Mrs. for the papers. |
