The 1920's -1940's was considered the most popular era for the production of cigarette cards.
Companies such as Gallaher, Players, and Carreras would often put well known Baseball players
and Hollywood Movie Stars on their tobacco cards in order to glamorize cigarette use.
Here are many of the cards I have obtained featuring Maureen.

Most cards were very small, so these have already been enlarged for you.

With the beginning of  WW2, the hobby of collecting Cigarette cards began to fade away.
Our country put everything it had into winning the war--nylon, steel, meat, and gasoline were rare...
and the use of paper to make the cigarette cards was now considered a waste.
So, it is was no surprise that the hobby of collecting cigarette cards was soon abandoned.
